Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011); White House deputy director(2009-2011) and spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 as well as White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a contributor to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her career with the 2001 re-election campaign in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack Both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed the press secretary's assistant in John Kerry's campaign for president in 2004. Psaki worked as the communications director to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was press secretary to the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. [20] Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. She was hired by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his spot on May 30, 2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications. she was there until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
